From February 25th to 27th, 2025, the Transformational Leadership Center (TLC) invested in the heart of its educational resources by hosting an intensive training program for its librarians. This vital initiative aimed to enhance their skills in library management, digital literacy, and student support, ensuring these key areas remain dynamic and effective. The training deepened the librarians’ understanding of TLC’s mission, emphasizing its crucial role in peace education and library management.

Participants explored improved communication strategies and structured reporting procedures, essential for effective documentation and incident management. They also gained valuable techniques for strengthening student supervision and maintaining an organized library environment. A significant focus was placed on boosting digital literacy, with practical skills imparted in email, Google Drive, online book management, and internet safety, empowering librarians to confidently navigate the digital landscape. Crucially, the training addressed online safety, equipping librarians to manage digital access and safeguard students from harmful online content, creating a secure learning space.

The program’s success was evident in the participants’ increased confidence and competence, with many, especially those new to digital tools, expressing gratitude for the practical skills gained. This training will translate to more efficient library operations, improved student support, and a richer learning experience for all. TLC remains committed to ongoing training, ensuring its libraries continue to be vibrant centers of knowledge and peace education.
